Is a game based on a Laura Marling song of the same name.
It expands upon the original narrative where Max ends his affair with a woman, in this iteration, it is his friend's wife, Blake, the unnamed narrator from the song.
The game expands on the story behind the affair and its aftermath from the perspective of Blake, with the help of, her therapist, Agnes.
The song, even if containing themes of infidelity, captures a heartbreak that is all too familiar. It is a story told repeatedly, yet only comes with renewed challenges and moral implications to the people you made promises with.
It is a lesson of trust, yet also a clear picture of the pain caused by love and desire.
This is one of my first few workings with games. It was made around a day including the inception of the dialogue, art, and minimal gameplay.
